Illustration gives me room to be loose, strange and a little unpredictable.

Some pieces begin with a character, others with a visual joke or an odd expression that suggests a story. I am drawn to personalities that feel slightly exaggerated but still recognizable. The humor may be subtle, absurd or somewhere in between.

These featured galleries reflect the part of my work that is less concerned with polish for its own sake and more interested in character, curiosity and the pleasure of making something unexpected.

Black and white illustration of two fish with human-like eyes, one on the left looking upwards and one on the right with its body turned slightly, with a simple beach scene with trees and a pyramid in the background. Text beneath the right fish reads 'fish in denial'.
